Los Tamarindos Garden Restaurant is the jewel it promised to be.  28 of us enjoyed the La Paz Ladies Luncheon at Los Tamarindos, located on Ocampo between Revolution and Serdan.on Thursday, July 26th.
Cecy, the owner of Los Tamarindos Garden, provided a guitarist during the luncheon and folkloric dancers after dessert. She had a draw for Mexican paper dolls as a souvenir of the afternoon with 10 lucky women as winners.  Our group almost filled the newly air conditioned room.   Patio dining is also available.
The tortilla soup was to die for.  I was too busy talking to our newest members and I missed the nachos with refried beans at our table.  Many guests, after they had eaten the appetizer and the soup, took home their main course, which consisted of grilled chicken with mushroom sauce, baked potato, salad with peaches, roasted pistachios and cheese or the grilled fish, as they were full.
All at the luncheon agreed that this restaurant is a little jewel and were so happy that we had decided to try a luncheon there, as Los Tamarindos just reopened a few months back after a nearly 10-year hiatus.
Cecy and Los Tamarindos went out of their way by at least 2 miles to ensure that our group had a great time and a great time we had.  The food was delicious and the portions were huge.  When you go and check it out, make sure you have the pudding for dessert!!
A huge THANK YOU to Cecy, the wonderful waiters and the cooks at Los Tamarindos Garden for a fantastic luncheon for the La Paz Ladies.  Los Tamarindos is another keeper.  We really enjoyed our afternoon. They are open for breakfast starting at 8:00 am and lunch from 1-5 pm.
The next La Paz Ladies Luncheon will be held on Thursday, August 23rd at the authentic Greek restaurant Apostolis on Madero, just before Morales.  If you love Greek food, this is the place.  You can reserve now by e-mailing
