Guenter Walter Trebbow 1938 to 2014

Guenter was many things a Father, Husband, Friend, Entrepreneur, Story teller, Writer, Artist and Sailor. He was born in Hamburg Germany in 1938, and moved to the USA in 1963. Guenter Married in LA in 1967, then moved to Solvang where they raised two Boys. They started several businesses in Solvang the best known was the Heidelberg Inn a German restaurant. Although he divorced in 1982 he kept a good relations with his family. He moved to Mexico in 1992. He has called Marina De La Paz Baja Mexico his home for the last 25 years. He was loved by sailors for his funny stories and unique humor. His adventurous nature lead him to a life filled with travel and exploration. He was a very tough yet a gentle and sensitive man. He would never hurt any living creature, other than roaches, which he loved to exterminate. His love for Baja and Sailing lead to a battle with Hurricane Odile. On the 15th of september 2014 he went down with his ship in the Sea of Cortez near La Paz Mexico. He is survived by his two sons Thomas and Michael, former wife Heidi, and his sisters in Germany, Katharina and Mariam. He will be greatly missed. As he would say “See you later alligator.”
