Repairing La Paz Downtown Streets

Are you having a hard time getting to your destination in downtown La Paz?

The State government of BCS announced that they will begin phase two of the repairing and repaving major downtown intersections. Phase one is now complete with 11 intersections now less bumpy. 

Phase two, which consists of 14 intersections, is to be completed by the end of March, 2020. The government is spending 27.9 million pesos on the reconstruction project that also includes curb ramps, pedestrian crosswalks and landscaping.

The intersections that will be repaired include: Constitución and Revolución, Mariano Abasolo and 5 de febrero, Mariano Abasolo and Legaspi, Mariano Abasolo and Márquez de León, 16 de septiembre an Guillermo Prieto, Altamirano and Santos Degollado, Agustín Olachea and Tenochtitlan, Revolución and Manuel Pineda, Ignacio Allende and Revolución, Ignacio Allende and Aquiles Serdán. Also included are Ignacio Allende and Altamirano, Bravo and Lic. Verdad, Francisco I. Madero and Santos Degollado, Félix Ortega and Melchor Ocampo.

There are plenty of traffic flow problems in the city due to construction so please give yourself an extra ten minutes for arrival times in the downtown area. Also be aware that a few one-way streets have temporarily become two-way streets to improve traffic flow.
