Pelican Theatre – Shows March 29th and April 6th and 7th

English-language theatre presentions begin: Pelican Theatre begins presentations of Let’s Make a Scene, three short comedies on stage at Teatro de la Ciudad. There are showings March 29 (7 p.m.), April 6 (5 and 7 p.m.) and April 7 (5 and 7 p.m.). Ticket information will be available March 17 at Allende Books in La Paz and El Tecolote Bookstore in Todos Santos.  Tickets are 100 pesos. On the program: Anything for You, starring Celia Devault and Kathleen Bennett (Over lunch that begins like so many they’ve had before, a discussion between two women turns unexpectedly away from the menu); History Lesson, starring Elia Redfield (It’s Maggie’s last day at Mount Rushmore as a Park Ranger, and she has an arsenal of made-up historical facts to unload on her listeners). Siobhan, starring Kat Bennett (A temp worker is tired of using self-help books to “cure” herself as she discovers that deep down she is a woman of great substance).
