While nobody enjoys paying a traffic ticket, the Municipality of La Paz has launched an online payment system to make the process as pain-free as possible. You won’t find any red tape or legal jargon on the site. Just an easy to understand format to make paying traffic fines quick, easy and safe.

Gustavo Herrera Ojeda, the Director of Information Technology for the Municipality of La Paz explained that to pay traffic fines online, all that is needed is to enter the municipality´s official website www.lapaz.gob.mx on a computer or smart phone.

Once on the webpage, you can easily choose the option ¨tramites¨ and then click on ¨pago de multas de infracciones de transito¨. You need to enter one of the three options to see your traffic fine online:

 

  1. The number from your traffic ticket
  2. The serial number of your car
  3. Your license plate number

 

After payment has been completed with any credit card or debit card, you will immediately receive your Digital Proof of Tax Receipt (CFDI).

The Director of Information Technology reiterated the commitment made by the Mayor of La Paz, Armando Martínez Vega, to make city services more efficient for the residents La Paz. Therefore, it is necessary to continue to work on the modernization of digital services.

Herrera Ojeda mentioned that you may also pay your property taxes online as well. All you need to do is have your clave catastra or cadastral number handy to help you with the process. This number can be found on your notary papers of the properties you have in La Paz. To date, residents have responded successfully to this online payment service.

“We are working every day to improve the attention and service and to remind the taxpayer that online is a safe way to make a payment without having to wait in line at our offices. We are trying to make our procedures more agile and modern,” Herrera Ojeda concluded.
