I just learned of the passing of Nicolas Carrillo Castro, a teacher, pianist and proud supporter of arts and culture in the town of El Triunfo, BCS. I recently had the opportunity of meeting Nicolas. He played the piano for us and talked, with great pride, of his work at the Museo de la Musica in El Triunfo and of his Baja Californian roots. He was the highlight of my trip. RIP.
