On the third Saturday of September each year, volunteers around the world take part in the world’s biggest coastal cleanup, known as International Coastal Cleanup Day. The event has been held internationally each year for over 20 years, when people head to the beaches and begin removing debris and rubbish from shorelines, waterways and oceans. Last year in La Paz, over 300 hundred volunteers headed out to Balandra Beach on September 25th, 2010 to take part in the clean-up of plastics, glass and pop cans. If you would like to take part in this year’s beach clean-up, please contact Alozo Stell at 612 131 0170, or Dennis Ross at 612 104 4230 for more information.
