TBC with Karina Ehrenberg

Karina Ehrenberg Theurel, who is fluent in English, Spanish and German, was born and raised in La Paz and lived here until she was 18 years old. She travelled around the world and later returned to the Baja and worked several years in Los Cabos in the hotel industry and later in real estate.

In 2010, she returned to La Paz and opened The Garden Center which later became the restaurant El Jardin Secreto.

She is currently the broker/owner of Baja Cortes Bienes Raices and enjoys working with first-time buyers and takes great pleasure in providing ‘concierge’ client services before, during and after the sale.

She loves being a mom to her two little girls and enjoys traveling, snorkeling and scuba diving. We asked her to share with us her favorite things about the Puerto de Ilusión.

FAVORITE PLACES TO DINE: Jiro Sushi, Palermos and El Jardin Secreto.

FAVORITE COOL DAY REFRESHMENT: Pitahaya flavored ice-cream from La Fuente, located right on the malecon.

FAVORITE THING ABOUT LA PAZ: The calm of the city and its people; it is a family oriented city, great place to raise your kids or retire.

FAVORITE BEACHES: Balandra, El Tesoro, and the collection of beaches around Espiritu Santo´s Island.

FAVORITE DAY TRIP: Going on the boat with the family to snorkel around the beaches of Pichilingue or San Rafaelito and to get surprised watching whale sharks, and dolphins!

FAVORITE ATTRACTION: Scuba diving at one of the wonderful sunken boats across from Espiritu Santo, sublime!

FAVORITE PLACE FOR NIGHTLIFE: Friday night dancing salsa at Stellas.

FAVORITE LA PAZ HIGHLIGHT: Its malecon and all the little bars and restaurants.

FAVORITE HIDDEN GEM: Wonderful tracks for mountain biking! A real treat.
