Expats leave their native country, became familiar with a new language, culture, and adjust to a new pace of living. We expats are experts at adapting to new situations.

Recently we’ve had another opportunity to modify our routine.  The Farmers Market which was located in front of the Cathedral in Parque Velasco, has moved.

The Farmers Markets are now located in three areas:

Parque Piedras y Pájaros  – Constitución between Belisario Domínguez and Madero. Tuesday and Saturday from 7:30 – 1:30 Facebook: Mercado Orgánico y Artesanal de La Paz A.C.

A lovely garden setting complete with mural and fountain which provides places to rest and watch the action.

MOA – Rosales next to Los Arcos Hotel.  Tuesday and Saturday  7:30 – 1  Facebook: Mercado Orgánico y Artesanal de La Paz

A tree-shaded street allows you to wander the stalls in comfort. Free parking on corner of Rosales and Madero.

Parque Francisco King – Between the Malecón y Madero across from the windmill park. Friday 5 – 10 and Saturday 8 – 1 Facebook: Mercados de los Productores – Note: market is open Friday evening. Kid friendly with play area.

Three markets offer many options: fruit & vegetables, food stalls, clothing, jewelry and many handmade items. Some of us frequent all three; others locate their favorite vendor and shop at that site. Either way we have the opportunity to avail ourselves to a treat we didn’t have a few years ago – farmers and artesian markets in La Paz.
