After much hard work and fun, Juli Goff of Se Habla…La Paz, is “passing the torch” of the local Baja Foreign Business Group to Jim Donahoe of Linda Neil Properties and All Points South Property Management. Goff and Jill Roldan, Tailhunters International, organized the group to help foreign business owners in La Paz. During the last year BFBG has had numerous meetings featuring speakers who have addressed topics ranging from importing/exporting, immigration, police activity and tourism. The meetings are conducted in English and there is always a translator on hand to help with the presentations when necessary.
Donahoe has volunteered to bring the group back together, but only with the help of his new agent, Jack Evans, and other past participants in the organization. “I think the FBO group plays a vital role in helping new and existing businesses be a success in today’s challenging economy. I want to build on the solid foundation that Juli, Jill and the whole group created”, Donahoe stated. “We are looking for new members and new ideas. We will be conducting our first get-back-together meeting on Tuesday, October 18th at the Dinghy Dock Restaurant at the Palmira Marina with thanks to Marisol for providing the space at no charge. This will be a brainstorming and re-organizational meeting. We invite any and all foreign business owners or retired foreign business person(s), who would like to contribute, to come to our meeting. We will have a no-host social from 6:30 PM – 7 PM and the formal meeting shall run from 7 – 8:00 PM. Come meet other foreign business owners, bring your ideas and come to have fun.”
